Privacy Policy

Draft — pending legal review before publication. Last updated: 18 August 2026.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Middleeast.directory (“we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information. The Directory is owned and operated by Printshop4me FZE, a company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which acts as the data controller for the purposes of this policy. You can contact us at [email protected] or via our Contact page.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact form submissions: name, email address, and message content you choose to provide.
  • Account and listing information: if you register, submit, or claim a listing, we collect the account details and business information you provide (business name, category, location, contact details, and similar).
  • Payment information: if you purchase a listing package, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card number; we retain only limited transaction records needed for order history and support.
  • Technical and log data: standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) collected automatically for security and site-operation purposes.
  • Cookies: see Section 5 below.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to: operate and maintain the Directory; process listing submissions, claims, and payments; respond to enquiries submitted through our contact form; send service-related communications (such as account or listing status updates); maintain the security and integrity of the site; and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not use listing or contact-form data for unrelated marketing without a separate opt-in.

4. Legal basis for processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (processing a listing package purchase or account request), legitimate interests (operating and securing the Directory, responding to enquiries), and consent (where you opt in to optional communications). You may withdraw consent at any time where consent is the basis for processing.

5. Cookies

The Directory uses a limited set of cookies necessary for core functionality, such as keeping you logged in, remembering form entries, and supporting shopping-cart/checkout functionality for listing package purchases. We do not currently run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated and, where required by law, a cookie consent mechanism will be added. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; doing so may affect some site functionality.

6. Third-party service providers

We use third-party providers to operate the Directory, including our web hosting provider, our payment processor (for listing package purchases), and our email/SMTP delivery provider (for transactional emails such as account confirmations and contact-form notifications). These providers process personal information only as necessary to provide their service to us and are not authorized to use it for their own purposes.

7. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Directory’s services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Contact-form submissions and inactive account data are retained only as long as reasonably needed for these purposes and may be deleted periodically thereafter.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing or request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

9. Children’s privacy

The Directory is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. International data transfers

Because the Directory serves users across multiple countries and uses service providers that may operate outside your country of residence, your information may be processed in a country other than your own. Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

11. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

13. Contact us

For any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your personal information, contact us at [email protected] or via our Contact page.
